Punakha Winter Trek |

Day 01 :
Arrival in
Paro and 2 hours
drive to Thimphu.
During the flight, one will
experience the breathtaking views of Mt. Everest,
Kanchenjunga and other famous Himalayan peaks
including the sacred Mt. Chomolhari and
Jitchu. |

Day 02 :Sightseeing in Paro
of Drugyal
Dzong. From here the peak of
Chomolhari also known as "Mountain of
the Goddess" can be viewed clearly. On the way visit a typical
Bhutanese farmhouse. |
Day 03 : Drive from Paro to Thimphu.
and visit Memorial
Chorten, National Library where ancient
manuscripts are preserved and Tashichho Dzong the seat of Royal
Government. |

Day 04 : Sightseeing in
Thimpu of Simtokha Dzong, one of the
oldest fortresses in Bhutan built in
1629 A.D. Also visit the woodcraft
and painting school where tradition
art and crafts are still kept alive.
Also visit the Handicraft Emporium. |

Day 05 : Drive from Thimphu to
Dechencholing and from here
start the trek
to Shong Pang. |

Day 06 : Trek from Shong Pang to
Dopshing Pang crossing over
Sinchula Pass, with a
fantastic view of Phajoding Monastery. |
Day 07 : Trek from Dopshing Pang to
Chorten Ningpo. |

Day 08 : Trek from Chorten Ningpo to
Zomlingthang. Trek ends and drive to Punakha. |
|
Day 09 : Drive from Punakha to
Limukha. From there one
can see a wonderful view of Punakha
valley and the Dzong and also some
snow mountains to the north. |

Day 10 : Hike from Limukha to
Chungsaka crossing over
Dochu La Pass and drive to Wangdiphodrang. |
|
Day 11 : Drive from Wangdiphodrang to
Thimphu en route visit Punakha
Dzong. the Punakha Dzong lies
between two rivers known as Pochu
and Mochu which means male and
female rivers. Continue to drive
down to Thimphu. |
Day 12 :
Drive from Thimpu to Paro
airport for onwards flight. |
