Days :
16 Days
Highest elevation :
6654 m./21,247 ft.
Region :
Lukla
Attraction :
Mera peak is one of the most popular
trekking peaks in Nepal. The walk
from Lukla through the Sherpa
regions of the remote Hinku valley
is an unforgettable experience. This
peak is located south of Everest in
the Hinku valley and is relatively
easier to climb than most other
peaks. You will witness superb
scenery and abundant wildlife,
possibly catching a glimpse of the
legendary yeti. It takes about six
days to reach base camp where
climbers stay for two nights. From
there, the climb takes about three
to four days, depending on weather
conditions. Although the climb is
not technically difficult, it
requires a strong physical condition
and good mountaineering skills.
Climbing Mera peak requires
mountaineering skills and a special
permit from the Nepal Mountaineering
Association.
