Traveling within
Nepal:
Most flights within Nepal are on
small aircraft, generally about 18
seaters such as the Twin Otter,
Beech and Dornier. These short
take-off and landing aircrafts (STOL)
are necessary for the small mountain
runways. Most flights have wonderful
views and it is certainly
exhilarating to fly close to the
mountains in a small aircraft.
Overland travel in Nepal is also a
wonderful experience. The main
highways are in reasonable condition
apart from the occasional landslide
and there is so much to look at as
you pass through the villages and
countryside. Depending on the size
of the group, we use reliable cars,
minibuses or large buses. |
