Mt. Kailash Experience: Mt. Kailash, at
6714 m also known as Tise, Kailasa &
Kang Rinpoche (Jewel of the Snows),
has since time immemorial been
celebrated in many Eastern
cosmologies as Mt. Meru, the axis
mundi. And as the center of the
physical & metaphysical universe,
Mt. Meru is sacred to the Buddhist, Jains, the Hindus & the Bonpos. For
the Hindus, the mountain represents
the seat of Lord Shiva; for the
Buddhists, a terrestrial projection
of the cosmic mandala of
Dhyani-Buddhas & Bodhisattvas….The
Wheel of Life; for the
Bonpos, Kailash was the sacred nine
storey Swastika Mountain, upon which
the Bonpo founder Sherab alighted
from heaven. Four of the great
rivers of the Indian subcontinent
originates from here: the Karnali,
which feeds into the Ganges (south);
the Indus (north); the Sutlez (west)
& the Brahmaputra (Yarlung Tsangpo,
east).

to the Enlightened one.

Muktinath Darshan: The form of
Vishnu that gives salvation “mukti”
to a true seeker, situated at an
altitude of 3,850 meters, in the
High Himalayan Plateau. A flight
from Pokhara to Jomsom and a few
hours hike or a ride on a horse back
will take you to Muktinath, an
ancient temple with a primordial

Janakpur Darshan: The birth place of
Sita, the land that resounded the
knowledge of the sage King Janaka
and the place where Rama encountered
his divine love. Still today every
year the Bibaha Panchami is
celebrated here, living through the
experience of that divine marriage
in the ancient time. Just 40 minutes
flight from Kathmandu one reaches
the holy city of Janakpur, the city
of Janak.
