Day 01 : Arrival in
Kathmandu. Transfer to Hotel. Time
permitting half day sightseeing tour
of some Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swoyambhunath.
Kathmandu Durbar Square : Famous
for its innumerable temples including that of Kumari,
the living goddess and the ancient seat of
government.
Swoyambhunath : An ancient Buddhist
stupa, famous for the nice view of the valley and
Buddhist tradition. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu |
Day 02 : Drive/ fly to
Pokhara (200km). Arrival and
transfer to the hotel at
Lake side. Overnight at Hotel. |
Day 03 : Early Morning fly 25
min to Jomsom (2640m). Some Free
time in Jomsom and then trek to
Kagbeni(2720m) an old beautiful
village, the gateway to Mustang.
Overnight at a local lodge in Kagbeni. Visit Kagbeni Monastery. |
Day 04 : Early Morning after
Breakfast walk back to Jomsom. Visit Marpha Village for
3 another hrs. Back to Jomsom and
Overnight at the hotel or Resort. |
Day 05 : Early Morning fly
back to Pokhara. Half day Sightseeing in
Pokhara. A
hiking can also be conducted.
Overnight at Hotel at Lake side. |
Day 06 : Drive/ Fly back to
Kathmandu. If flown, time permitting
half day sightseeing of medieval newari villages of Khokana and
Bungamati. Evening. Overnight at Hotel. |
Day 07 : Full day sightseeing
of Pashupatinath, Boudhanath
& Patan.
Pashupatinath : The most holy Hindu temple situated
on the bank of river Bagmati where cremation takes
place in open air.
Boudhanath : The biggest Buddhist stupa with more
than 20 monasteries lying nearby and settlement of
Tibetan refugees.
Patan : Historic medieval kingdom famous for its
Buddhist tradition. Evening Nepali dinner with
Culture program Overnight in hotel. |
Day 08 :
Excursion to Nagarkot
and en route visit Bhaktapur.
Nagarkot : Lying in an altitude of 2100m some 30km
east of Kathmandu it is a famous for the wide range
view of the Himalayas and sunrise on it.
Bhaktapur : A beautiful medieval town famous for its
tranquil life, wood carvings and cultural heritage.
Overnight in the Resort in Nagarkot. |
Day 09 : Hiking from Nagarkot
to Sankhu for about 3-4 hrs. Visit an
old town, Sankhu & drive back to
Kathmandu.
Evening Nepali dinner with cultural
program. Overnight in the Hotel. |
Day 10 : Free until Departure
time. Transfer to Airport for
onwards flight. End of
