Jomsom is the gateway to the region of Mustang. Mustang is a kingdom within the Kingdom of Nepal. North from the Himalayan mountain range, this high altitude plateau is a dry area with minimal rainfall and stark blue sky, a total contrast to the greenery just a few hours of walk away. With majestic Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri standing tall, this trek also passes through the deepest gorge in the world, in the Kaligandaki river.

Itinerary in detail

Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu & Transfer to hotel

Day 02 : Full day sightseeing tour in Kathmandu.

Day 03 : Drive to Pokhara. Overnight in hotel at lakeside.

Day 04 : Short drive to Naya pul / Birethanti and start trek to Hile, 1430 m. 4 hrs.

Day 05 : Trek from Hile to Ghore Pani, 3820m. 6-7 hrs.

Day 06 : Early in the morning climb Poon Hill, 3190 m. for sunrise and trek down to Tatopani, 1160m. 8 hrs.

Day 07 : Trek from Tatopani to Ghasa. 6 hrs.

Day 08 : Trek from Ghasa to Tukuche. 7 hrs.

Day 09 : Trek Tukuche to Kagbeni, 2780 m. 7-8 hrs. A very beautiful village of Mustang Region.

Day 10 : Visit Monastery in the morning and trek to Muktinath, 3850 m. 5 hrs.

Day 11 : Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom, 2740m. 6 hrs. Last day with trekking crew.

Day 12 : Early morning flight to Pokhara.

Day 13 :  Free day in Pokhara. Half day sight seeing tour.

Day 14 : Drive to Chitwan. 5 hrs. Do some jungle safari activities

Day 15 : Full day of jungle safari activities in Chitwan.

Day 16 : Drive back to Kathmandu. Late afternoon free.

Day 17 :  Full day sightseeing tour in Kathmandu. Evening Nepali dinner with cultural program.

Day 18 : Free until departure. Transfer to airport for onwards flight.
