Between the two Valleys: Gokyo and Khumbu

This 15-days Everest trek has everything: the incredible mountain views from Chukung, Kala Pathar and Gokyo Ri. Popularly known as "The Ultimate Trek," it includes all that the Khumbu has to offer including the fascinating villages and Tibetan Buddhist monasteries and the culture and hospitality of the Sherpa people, who will surely win your hearts. To top off this unique trek, we climb Kalapathar, the ultimate view point (5,545/18,200ft) for a panoramic view of the greatest mountain scenery in the world - including five 8000 m + / 26,000 ft + giants and myriad other peaks of the Khumbu Himal.

Itinerary in detail

Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu & Transfer to hotel

Day 02 : Full day sightseeing tour in Kathmandu.

Day 03 : Early morning fly to Lukla, 2850m. Trek 3 hrs to Phakding, 2630m.

Day 04 : Trek from Phakding to Namche, 3440m. 6 hrs.

Day 05 : Trek from Namche to Thame, 3840 m. 6-7 hrs.

Day 06 : Visit Thame monastery in the morning and trek back to Khumjung, 3740 m. 6 hrs.

Day 07 : Trek from Khumjung to Dole. 5 hrs.

Day 08 : Trek from Dole to Machhermo. 5 hrs.

Day 09 : Trek from Machhermo to Gokyo Lake.5 hrs. Overnight by the lake side.

Day 10 : Early morning trek to Gokyo Peak. Offers one of the best views in this region. Back to Gokyo Lake and trek to Thagna, 4560m. 6-7 hrs.

Day 11 : Trek from Thangna to Dhugla crossing the high Chola Pass, 5420m. 6-7 hrs.

Day 12 : Rest day in Dhugla, 4520m. or trek to Lobuche, 4910m.

Day 13 : Early morning trek to Kalapathar, 5545m. for the good view of the surrounding Himalayas and back to Lobuche.

Day 14 : Trek from Lobuche to Pangboche.

Day 15 : Trek from Pangboche to Namche.

Day 16 : Trek from Namche to Lukla. 7 hrs. Last day with trekking crew.

Day 17 : Early morning fly to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free.

Day 18 : Full day sight seeing tour in Kathmandu.

Day 19 : Free day with a possibility of an optional tour. Evening Nepali dinner with cultural program.

Day 20 : Free until departure. Transfer to airport for onwards flight.
